Environmentally, we work hard to make as small of an impact on the planet as possible. Selling pre-owned furniture is a great way to conserve natural resources, reduce the amount of product sent to landfills, and protect virgin materials. We save 2 tractor trailers of workstations from reaching the landfill every month.
We also are a good environmental steward with other aspects of our business. Whether it is Styrofoam, cardboard, or scrap metal, we make sure the material is recycled. In many cases, this is a short term cost to us. However, we believe it is the right thing to do. In the last 2 years, we have reduced by 50% the amount of material we send to the landfill through these efforts.
The environmental consciousness continues with our custom wood shop. We use Greenguard laminates from Wilsonart, Formica, and Nevamar. In addition, we work with environmentally friendly adhesives and chemicals.
We also extend this environmentally friendliness in our corporate offices. We recycle paper, plastics, magazines, and cans.
